Michael B. Jordan, known for Creed and Black Panther, attended the New York premiere of The Greatest, a television series about Muhammad Ali.
Jordan helped bring the project to the screen. He isn’t playing Ali.
His own early story is closely connected to our region: he grew up in Newark and graduated from Newark Arts High School in 2005.
That’s a New Jersey connection worth recognizing without turning it into a claim that he grew up in New York City.
