The castle from Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space” video just attracted a $72 million auction bid—and Taylor never owned it.
It’s Oheka Castle in Huntington, Long Island. Seven bidders competed for the historic estate, with the winning bid coming from Ronald Browning and Paul Alflen.
The auctioneer describes the sale as pending, so we’re still distinguishing the winning bid from a completed closing.
Gary Melius reportedly bought the deteriorated property for about $1.5 million in 1984 and spent decades restoring it.
That’s quite a transformation—from a neglected estate to a hotel, wedding venue and recognizable music-video setting.
